As I reflect on this past year, one word comes to mind: Gratitude.
I am thankful that even though the holiday season can be filled with chaos, I just didn’t cave in to it this year – despite moving my family and my business to a different state. I am thankful for my family, friends, colleagues and the Momiverse community who make me smile every day. I am thankful for living in a country in which I can choose to celebrate a holiday that plays an important role in my faith.
Sometimes, the work we do or the obstacles we face seem overwhelming. This is why it’s important we surround ourselves with people who lift us up, cheer us on, and expect us to move forward. I’m so grateful for family, friends, the Momiverse team, colleagues and people I meet throughout the year who support, encourage and inspire me. Last year, I became part of a special tribe of amazing women whose work I greatly respect. I pinch myself often in awe that this work brought such incredible people into my life.
I’ve learned so much this year. The more I learn, the more I realize that there’s still so much more to learn! Nevertheless, I am always thirsty for more knowledge and am amazed by the incredibly bright people of this world who share their gifts with others.
As we finish this year and approach the next year, I encourage you to continue making time for yourself. I encourage you to show your children what it means to love and take care of yourself, as well as others. You are your child’s most important example.
And when my light goes out – which happens from time to time, thank you for rekindling my light with your own spark. I am so deeply grateful for each member of the Momiverse community and for the flame you have lit within me and the world with your passion and grace.
