My first baby was born in 2004 weighing four pounds and one ounce and was born one month early. He spent two weeks in the neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU) before he could come home. My second baby was born in 2006 weighing three pounds and one ounce and was born two months early. He stayed in the NICU almost one month. Both babies were intrauterine growth restricted because the placenta hemorrhaged in each of my pregnancies.
I have two beautiful boys – ages 9 and 7. Every day I look at them and thank God they are healthy.
There are other babies born very premature and who weigh much, much less and have to stay in the NICU for much longer, or worse. Regardless of the details or the circumstance, it’s a terrifying experience for any parent to handle a high risk pregnancy and a premature birth.
Because of my own personal experience, I’m delighted to curate for a cause with eBay and the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes helps moms have full-term pregnancies and researches the problems that threaten the health of babies.
I invite you to join me! Create your own collection(s) and use the hashtag #ImBornTo in the title of your collection.
Here are the collections I curated for the March of Dimes:
I also invite you to view the other collections curated by the Momiverse on eBay (as well as my favorite gift guide for all the guys in your life and the traveler’s gift guide for kids and adults.
Do you have collections on eBay? I’d love to check them out and follow you.
