I am in-and-out of boutiques a few days each week shopping for clients and have noticed a couple stand-out colors for spring and summer: orange and mint.
Head to toe orange can be difficult to wear, so I often advise clients to start with two options:
1. Choose a print that includes the color.
2. Simply invest in an accessory (like the bag or clutch above) for a pop of color against a more classic color pairing. You will feel modern and current, but not like a pumpkin.
Mint is also extremely popular for spring. This color is easier with many skin tones, so why not try a beautiful dress (as shown above) for that summer wedding? If you don’t have any fancy soiree’s on the calendar, no worries. A mint long-line chiffon pussybow blouse is light and breezy paired under a gray, black or khaki suit for your workday.
I paired both my casual and formal looks with the shoe of the season, the Wedge. The Dana Buchman Espadrilles for Kohls and Michael Kors Ruby Wedges featured are great options because they are neutral, so they’ll go with almost any outfit. Most retailers are offering a variety of wedges for spring, so be sure to scope out your favorites.
Would you wear these colors? Tell us about the outfit you put together using these colors!
