October is one of our family’s busiest months of the year. This month, we have flag football practice, games, birthdays for my husband and both of my kids, a cousin’s wedding, Halloween, and we’re selling our home and preparing to move out of state.
As a busy mom (what mom isn’t?), I always look for tips, tools and sites that simplify my life. I never went trick or treating as a kid or dressed up for Halloween. I didn’t really care about Halloween until I had kids. I absolutely love seeing my two boys and other kids dressed up in their costumes and like the excuse of gathering friends together for trick or treating.
However, I’m not a very crafty mom and always envy my talented friends who can whip up Halloween costumes with a flourish. I feel like I can be a more patient and present Mom if I turn elsewhere for help in the costume category.
This month, I’m delighted to collaborate with Chasing Fireflies to share our boys’ Halloween costume choices with you. Chasing Fireflies not only has amazing clothes for kids, but a huge selection of Halloween costumes too! This year my boys wanted to save the world as superheroes.
Light-up Spiderman costume
My 4th grader chose this light-up Spider-Man costume. The spider on his muscled jumpsuit lights up! This boy costume comes with a headcover and we also ordered the gloves and web shooters to complete the outfit.
Light-up Iron Patriot costume
My 2nd grader will wear this red, white and blue Iron Patriot muscle jumpsuit for Halloween. It comes with a mask too, but be sure to order the gloves and a shoulder chain gun, so your little superhero will be ready for action!
Quality and durability
With two little boys ages 10 and 8, we’ve purchased quite a few Halloween costumes over the years. And if your kids are anything like mine, they love wearing their costumes throughout the year. Crime-fighting occurs year ‘round, you know? Like most boys, my kids are rough on their clothes. I was extremely impressed with the quality of these costumes and am happy my boys will be able to wear them all year long as they are called to save the citizens of the world.
They might be little, but they are mighty and fast.
