Moms are working hard to create healthier meals for their families. We’ve seen within our own online community and in the communities I which we live and play, a strong effort to eat less processed foods. This means buying minimally processed items, sometimes in bulk to save on costs.
We’ve either forgotten or never learned how to cook certain foods such as grains without the directions on a package. Our friends at Good Eggs provided us with a cheat sheet – a grainfographic, if you will – to help us learn grain to water ratios for common grains including rice, brown rice, millet, quinoa, rolled oats, steel cut oats, wheat berries, and faro. And while couscous isn’t a grain, they included it as well.
