Whole Foods Market - Tempe | The Momiverse | Whole Foods Vinyl Record Launch Party in Tempe

This article has been updated with photos from the event.

I spend a portion of almost every weekend at my local Whole Foods Market. It’s become a place where I not only shop for foods, but learn more about healthy eating and other products that complement my family’s lifestyle.

My family and I even choose Whole Foods Market (WFM) if we’re out and about and want a quick bite to eat. Call me a food geek all you want, but have you seen their fabulous wine and beer selection?

When I learned about the Whole Foods Vinyl Record Launch party in Tempe, I knew my family and I couldn’t miss it! As a product of the 80s, I had big hair, listened to alternative music before it was cool (it was called new wave back then), and collected a few vinyl records.

I’m fairly new to Arizona – having only lived here less than three years now. Events like this make it easy for me to learn about the local music scene and spend quality time with my family.

Whole Foods Market in Tempe partnered with independent record label River Jones Music. WFM now carries vinyl records and CDs from over twenty local and regional bands.

To kick off this partnership and celebrate the local music scene, the Tempe store is hosting local Phoenix band Ruca. Haley Grigaitis of Ruca happens to be from the small town of Cave Creek, Arizona – my new stomping ground. Visit her website for a free download of her song Just Begun.
